Questions before you start
Is BFS cheaper than glass for skincare ampoules?
Neither format is always cheaper. Compare quotations for the same formula, fill volume, accepted quantity, testing and finished pack. Include one-off tooling or development, filled units, protective packaging, labels, assembly and freight. Separate first-order costs from repeat orders before choosing a format.
Does switching to BFS require formula validation?
Yes. Material selection does not establish compatibility. Review the actual formulation, package, filling process, seal integrity and required stability work before approving a switch.
What MOQ applies to the BFS alternative?
BFS production starts at 10,000 ampoules. Smaller runs require written factory confirmation. Traditional ampoules have a separate 5,000-unit minimum; confirm the actual model and material rather than assuming every traditional ampoule is glass.
Can we keep glass for the main retail line?
Yes. You can compare BFS for one defined travel, trial or professional-channel project while keeping the existing retail pack. Approve the formula and packaging for that project separately.
