From Glass Ampoules to LDPE BFS Single-Dose Packaging
Many skincare teams begin with glass ampoules because glass feels premium and familiar. But glass is not always the easiest format for pilot launches, travel sets, GWP sampling or professional channel kits.
LDPE BFS single-dose packaging gives brands another option: a compact, lightweight ampoule format that can be developed around target fill volume, campaign use case and scale-up logic.
Brands using vials or bottle + swab formats may also evaluate BFS ampoules or liquid-filled swab applicators when they want a more integrated single-use experience.
The evaluation should not begin with packaging price alone. The better question is whether the format improves the customer trial experience, reduces handling friction, supports the sales channel and fits the formula.
For skincare pilots, common fill-volume review points include 0.5ml, 1ml, 2ml, 3ml, 5ml and 10ml.
A 5,000-10,000+ unit pilot can give the brand enough units to test sampling, travel, GWP or clinic/spa routines before choosing a larger commercial path.
LDPE BFS is not a universal replacement for glass. It is a format to evaluate when the brand wants a lighter, campaign-friendly, single-dose option with a practical path from pilot to scale.
