BFS Ampoules vs Sachets: Which Format Fits Skincare Trial Kits?

Sachets are familiar, low-cost and easy to distribute. BFS LDPE single-dose ampoules feel more structured, more tactile and often more premium for skincare trial kits.

The right choice depends on the goal of the campaign. If the brand only needs broad distribution at the lowest cost, sachets may still be the practical answer.

If the brand wants a higher-perceived-value sample, a more memorable opening experience, or a stronger bridge into premium retail, BFS ampoules can be worth evaluating.

Ampoules are especially relevant for serum, essence, booster and topical cosmetic liquid concepts where the brand wants the sample to feel closer to a finished product than a flat pouch.

BFS ampoules can also help when the campaign involves travel sets, gift-with-purchase, clinic/spa samples or channel-exclusive pilot SKUs.

The trade-off is that ampoules require more format planning. Buyers need to define fill volume, unit shape, secondary packaging, pilot quantity and formula fit before quotation.

A good rule: use sachets when cost and mass reach matter most; evaluate BFS ampoules when the trial experience, product story and premium presentation matter more.
